Margate House Hotel

I’d wanted to visit Margate House for a while, not least because I’d seen the brilliant COAT collaboration celebrating Margate. So, on my last visit, I finally stopped by for a drink.

And then spent most of it looking around.

The colour. The slightly unexpected art. The playful branding. Lots to steal, by which I obviously mean be inspired by.

What I liked most was that it had personality. Nothing felt like it had been chosen simply because it was tasteful or because that’s what a nice hotel is supposed to look like.

There were things I wouldn’t have thought to put together. Which, for me, is usually where the inspiration is.
